Analysts

Abigail is a sophomore studying Policy Analysis and Management in the Brooks School of Public Policy with minors in Business and Law & Society. She is currently an analyst in the Education department. Along with CPG, Abigail is also a member of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, a writer for the Cornell Diplomat, a scholar for the Institute of Politics and Global Affairs, and a Brooks School ambassador.

Amani is a sophomore studying Industrial and Labor Relations. She joined the Cornell Policy Group in the fall of 2024 as an analyst in the Domestic Center. Outside of CPG, Amani is a member of the Cornell International Affairs Review and a news writer for the Cornell Daily Sun.

Arjun Anugole is a freshman, majoring in Biological Sciences with a minor in Healthcare Policy. He joined CPG in Fall 2024 as an analyst for the Healthcare Center. Arjun's policy interests lie within addressing racial health inequities and using biomedical research to improve therapeutic outcomes for diseases. Outside of CPG, Arjun is involved in the American Cancer Society chapter at Cornell and the Big Red Raas dance team.

Aryan is a freshman majoring in Public Policy at the Brooks School, with intended minors in Law and Society, Business, and Data Science. His policy interests lie in the fields of infrastructure and public transit policy. Outside of being an analyst for CPG's Economic Center, he is a part of the Cornell Undergraduate Moot Court team, and is an Undergraduate Democracy Fellow with the Center on Global Democracy.

Austin Grattan is a junior studying Health Care Policy with a minor in LGBT Studies. He joined CPG in Fall 2023 as an analyst in the Healthcare Center and now serves as Associate Editor in Chief. Austin’s policy interests include health insurance access, medical education, social determinants of health, and LGBTQ+ health disparities. Outside of CPG, Austin is a member of Alpha Iota Gamma and is a TA for PUBPOL 1111. After graduation, Austin plans to pursue a PhD and eventually be a fellow at a think tank, work in the government, or enter academia.

Avery Prince is a freshman studying Public Policy at the Brooks School. He joined CPG in the fall of 2024 as an analyst in the Domestic Center. His policy interests lie in the fields of criminal justice and policing. Outside of CPG, Avery is a news writer for the Cornell Daily Sun, a member of Cornell Sports Analytics, and a member of the Prison Reform and Education Project.

Ben Nusbaum is a freshman in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy majoring in Public Policy with intended minors in Law and Society and Business. Outside of CPG, Ben is a member of Cornell Votes, Cornell Sports Analytics, a Junior Officer for the Cornell Ski and Snowboard Club, and plays for the Cornell Buds (Cornell's Ultimate Frisbee Team)

As a student at Cornell University in the Brooks School of Public Policy studying Healthcare Policy on a pre-medical track, I am drawn towards fields where I can use my leadership skills, interests in helping people, and community-based advocacy to make an impact on people's lives. My interests and experiences encompass a wide range of the healthcare field from administration and policy writing to clinical and research work. I'm drawn to experiences that challenge me to learn new things and connect me to people all over the world.

Camille is a senior pursing a major in Policy Analysis and Management in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy. She was previously Advocacy Director of Cornell Policy Group, and has remained an analyst for the Environment & Technology Center. Her primary academic interests include researching viable climate solutions and energy alternatives, healthcare reform, and innovative family policies.

Hi! I am a freshman at the Brooks School studying Public Policy. I am a policy analyst in the Econ Center. I'm passionate about environmental policy, particularly how the global economy affects our sustainability. I am excited to work with a group of equally passionate, amazing people!

Celia is a second year student majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations and pursuing a minor in Nutrition and Health. She joined Cornell Policy Group in the spring of 2024 and writes as an analyst in the Domestic Center. Outside of CPG, she spends time preparing to compete in powerlifting meets, and enjoys cooking and visiting coffee shops.

Claudia Nesin is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Government and Philosophy with intended minors in Law and Society and Public Policy. Outside of Cornell Policy Group, Claudia is an editor of Logos, Cornell's undergraduate philosophy journal, a member of Cornell Prison Education Project, and a writer for the Cornell Daily Sun.

Cole is a sophomore majoring in Public Policy at the Brooks School of Public Policy. He joined the Cornell Policy Group in the spring of 2024 as an analyst for the Domestic Center. Outside of CPG, Cole plays the flute in the Cornell Symphony Orchestra, is a member of the Cornell Political Union, and participates in political advocacy work.

Connor is a junior studying Environment & Sustainability with a concentration in Environmental Policy and Governance in CALS. He is interested in implementation of clean energy, and sustainable agriculture. Outside of CPG, Connor enjoys hiking, thrifting, landscape photography, and collecting vintage records.

Danielle Berkowitz is a sophomore studying public policy at the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, with intended Minors in Law and Society, and Business. She joined CPG in Fall 2023 as an analyst for the Education Center. As Assistant Education Center Director, Danielle is particularly interested in issues of education inequality.

I am a sophomore Policy Analysis and Management major in the Brooks School of Public Policy with intended minors in Business and Demography. As Assistant Domestic Center Director, I am specifically interested in election and criminal justice policies.

Elliott Serna is a Public Policy student in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy concentrating in urban and social policy research, analysis, and development. Elliott's policy focus is exploring the junction between development, housing, and health policies to promote community vitality and welfare. Additionally, Elliott's research explores government efficiency, efficacy, and intra-governmental reform efforts.

Emily Snider is a sophomore studying Policy Analysis and Management in the Brooks School of Public Policy, with minors in Applied Economics and Law and Society. She is a Domestic Center Policy Analyst. Outside of CPG, Emily is a Brooks School Student Ambassador, Building Success at Brooks Student Leader, and a member of Cornell Votes.

Franklin is a junior pursuing a major in Information Science and minors in International Relations and German Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University. He joined the Cornell Policy Group in the fall of 2021 as an analyst for the Center for Environmental and Technology Policy and now serves as Editor-in-Chief. Outside of CPG, Franklin works as a teaching assistant within the Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and is a member of a social fraternity.

Gabriella Sanchez is a freshman studying public policy at the Brooks School. Outside of Cornell Policy Group, Gabriella is a politics analyst for the Cornell Current and a writer for the Cornell Daily Sun.

Gary is a sophomore pursing a major in Policy Analysis & Management with a minors in Business and Law & Society. He joined Cornell Policy Group in the spring of 2023 and is currently the Economic Center Director. Gary works as a research assistant at the Labor Dynamics Institute and is a member of a social fraternity.

Grace Chen is a junior in the Brooks School of Public Policy, majoring in Policy Analysis and Management. She joined CPG in Fall 2021 and is interested in researching the economic analysis of social policies. Outside of CPG, Grace is a brother in Cornell's Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity and a project manager for Social Business Consulting. She also loves to bake, dance, and make Spotify playlists.

Harkirat is a junior in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, majoring in Policy Analysis and Management. Harkirat joined the Roosevelt Institute in Fall 2021. She enjoys learning and writing about the intersection of economics, policy, and healthcare. Outside of Roosevelt, Harkirat is an administrative assistant in the Cornell Population Center, a member of Cornell Speech and Debate Society, and an Undergraduate Resident Fellow in Alice Cook House.

Harrison Sachs is a freshman pursing a major in Agricultural Sciences and plans on minoring in International Markets and Development. He joined Cornell Policy Group in the fall of 2024 and is inspired by international agricultural trade and innovation. Outside of CPG, Harrison is an analyst in the Emerging Markets Institute Club and Grub Ventures.

Henry (ILR '26) is interested in pursuing labor law or joining the policy research and advocacy field in the political world. At Cornell, he is a part of Cornell ACLU, the Scheinman Conflict Resolution Club, and a research fellow with the Worker Institute, tracking labor protests with the Labor Action Tracker. He previously interned at Congressman Seth Moulton's district office and is politically active in Massachusetts politics.

Ian ('26) is a student majoring in Government and Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences. Outside of being in the CPG economic policy center, Ian likes to play tennis, read the news, and play Jeopardy!.

Isabel is a sophomore majoring in Health Care Policy and minoring in Philosophy. She joined CPG as an analyst in Spring 2023 and now serves as the Environment and Technology Center Director.

Isabela Wilson is a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Government with minors in International Relations, Law & Society, and East Asian Studies with a focus on the Korean peninsula. She is currently the Co-Assistant Center Director for Foreign Policy. Outside Cornell Policy Group, she is also involved in The Cornell International Affairs Review and Pi Lambda Sigma (POLIS).

Jack is a sophomore studying Policy Analysis and Management, with a particular passion for investigating the intersection of planning and politics regarding sustainable transitions within the transportation sector. Outside of academics, Jack is involved with Cornell University Sustainable Design and can frequently be found running with Cornell Running Club or biking around Ithaca.

Jade Foxall is a junior pursuing a B.S. in Environment and Sustainability (E&S) with a concentration in Policy and Governance in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She joined CPG in Fall 2023 as part of the Education Center. Outside of CPG, Jade is active in Epsilon Eta Professional Sustainability Fraternity, volunteers with the Cornell chapter of Food Recovery Network, and serves as a peer mentor for incoming E&S and transfer students.

Jaiden is a freshman at the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy majoring in Public Policy. He joined the Cornell Policy Group in the fall of 2023 as an analyst in the Education Center. Outside of CPG, Jaiden is a member of the Cornell University Parole Initiative, a brother of Cornell's Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, and plays on Cornell's Club Basketball team.

Javier Vega is a freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences. He is majoring in Computer Science, and minoring in International Relations. Outside environmental and foreign policy, Javi loves Formula 1, Soccer, and music.

Jessica Chen is a senior majoring in Economics and minoring in Mathematics; Law and Society; Crime, Justice Education, and Justice. She is interested in economic equity and parole reform. Outside of Roosevelt, she is an Education Director with the Cornell Raptor Program and will be a TA with the Cornell Prison Education Program.

Joan is a sophomore majoring in Healthcare Policy in the Brooks School of Public Policy. She joined CPG in the Spring of 2023 as an analyst for the Healthcare Center and currently serves as the Director of Internal Affairs. On campus, she is a member of Alpha Iota Gamma Pre-Health Fraternity, Affect and Cognition Lab, Cornell Healthcare Review, a social sorority, and TAs a class. She also loves to bake, binge shows, and take spin classes in her free time.

Jorge is a sophomore pursuing a major in Government and a minor in International Relations at Cornell University. He serves as a Foreign Affairs Analyst for Cornell Policy Group and has a strong interest in international relations, political economics and economic development.

My passion for advancing health care policy began as a high school sophomore: Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, an insurance denial of my hospitalization* and a struggle to get my vital treatments opened my eyes early on in life to the failings in the American healthcare system and the more severe, incessant struggles of other patients. Motivated to change this, I devoted myself to researching, presenting, and publishing "How Socioeconomic Status Dictates the Health Care Patients with Type 1 Diabetes Receive in America." All the while, I graduated as Valedictorian, working with several health equity groups, earning various leadership roles, interning at a national non-profit organizing for healthcare equity, and more. Now, as a current undergraduate at Cornell University, majoring in Health Care Policy and minoring in Health Equity, I continue to enrich my healthcare knowledge, management skillset, and professional development and experience, all while staying committed to helping my community. Through this effort and education, I discovered healthcare administrators' vast and inspiring potential and responsibilities in creating, leading, and managing a more equitable, efficient, & high-quality healthcare system, pioneering health justice. As a future healthcare administrator, I aspire to utilize my unique background and insight, profound passion, tireless determination, high aptitude, and natural team leadership skills to strategically lead by example for a just, high-quality American healthcare system. *Fortunately, the hospital administrators made the charitable decision to absorb my bill.

Karin is a sophomore majoring in Policy Analysis and Management interested in educational equity.

Kashyap is a freshman at Cornell University, majoring in Information Science and Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences. He has an interest in technology policy, particularly in areas like algorithmic-surveillance and AI governance. At Cornell, he is involved with Kappa Alpha Pi, Cornell ACLU, Cornell Tarana, and Cornell Votes. In his free time, Kashyap enjoys playing pickleball, cooking, and singing.

Kimia Shahriyar is a freshman at the Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, where she is majoring in Health Care Policy. She joined CPG in Fall 2024 as a new analyst in the Healthcare Center. Kimia's policy interests are centered around drug policy and addiction medicine where she aims to promote innovative and compassionate approaches healthcare and criminal justice reform. Beyond CPG, Kimia is an advocate for Harm-Reduction, an avid foodie, and a total cinephile!

Krislyn is a sophomore at Cornell University. She is studying Public Policy with an interest in environmental, social, and data/tech policy. She believes that public policy embodies humanity's optimism to catalyze change. And she operates on an equity-based framework to address environmental racism and consumer data protection.
After class, you can find Krislyn registering student voters as a college fellow of the New York State Democratic Committee and Vice President of Students for NY. She is on the E-Board of 3 different clubs on campus: Students 4 NY, Cornell Policy Group, and Cornell’s Black Women Support Network. She has initiated the Voter Outreach Advocacy Project for Cornell Policy Group alongside being the Environment and Technology Center Director. You can find her dancing on the sidelines of football games as a majorette dancer for the Black Student Ensemble and in ballrooms around Ithaca as a member of Salsa Pa’lante. She is an Undergraduate Democracy Research Fellow with the Brooks School Center on Global Democracy and the Einaudi Center. Krislyn is also a member of the following pre-professional fraternities: Phi Alpha Delta (pre-law) and Pi Sigma Lambda (pre-government). She is the incumbent Fundraising Coordinator of Cornell’s Black Women Support Network. Lastly, Krislyn is a student ambassador for Cornell’s Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy.
In her free time, she enjoys yoga, thrifting, walks, concerts, finding new international music genres, and cooking.

Krystlove is a Freshman pursuing majors in Government and Sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University. She joined Cornell Policy Group in the Spring of 2024 as a Policy Analyst for the Foreign Center. Outside of Cornell Policy Group, she works at the College of Arts and Sciences Career Development office and is a freshman representative for Ghanaians at Cornell.

Kyle is a sophomore majoring in Policy Analysis and Management at the Brooks School of Public Policy, pursuing minors in Law & Society and Philosophy. Outside of CPG, he is a part of POLIS, Cornell Votes, and the Cornell IP and Ethics Club.

Lilia Mitra is a sophomore studying Health Care Policy on the pre-medical track. Her writing is focused on promoting health equity and easy access to healthcare. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career at the intersection of clinical care and policy advocacy. Outside of CPG, she is a member of Phi Delta Epsilon Pre-Medical Fraternity and a social sorority. In her free time, she enjoys making music, spending time outside, and baking.

I am a freshman in the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management passionate about connecting people, capital, and ideas to deploy sustainability programs at scale for carbon mitigation and revitalization of land to empower communities. I leverage my cross-functional interests in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), corporate sustainability, public policy, and community impact to deliver results with a compassionate mindset.

Maoz Bizan is a sophomore studying environmental engineering. He is interested in the intersection of environmental issues, international relations, and regional security.

Olivia LaBonte is a sophomore Government major from Massachusetts. She joined CPG because of her interest in combating inequities through policy in addition to her passion for public service. On campus, Olivia is also a legal advocate in the Cornell University Parole Initiative and contributes to The Cornell Daily Sun. After graduation, she aspires to attend law school and pursue a career in international human rights.

Olivia Pham is a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations. In Fall 2024, she joined the Cornell Policy Group as a Foreign Policy Analyst, where her focus is on human rights violations, Central Asian policies, and addressing gender-based violence. Outside of CPG, Olivia contributes to The Cornell International Affairs Review and Cornell’s fashion magazine, Thread. In her free time, she enjoys thrifting, skiing, and watching movies and TV shows.

Pari is a Milstein Scholar at Cornell University in the School of Arts and Sciences. She joined CPG in the Spring of 2024 as an analyst for the Domestic Center. Currently, Pari is a double major in Government and Economics with a minor in Business. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school and earn her JD.

I am a sophomore studying Global Development with planned Business and Law & Society minors. Outside of CPG, I am the Secretary of the Cornell Hunger Relief Program, the Communications Chair of the Global Development Student Advisory Board, and a writer for The Cornell Diplomat.

Pranav is a junior from Frisco, Texas majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations and minoring in Economics. His interests are broadly civil rights law and international human rights law, but with focuses in labor and employment law and democracy. He is also interested in financial regulation in the U.S. On campus, Pranav is the VP of Corporate Relations for the Social Enterprise Group at Cornell, a Peer Mentor for the ILR School, VP of Finance for Kappa Alpha Pi, and a Research Fellow at the Worker Institute.

Rachel Baron is a sophomore at Cornell University studying Government. Beyond Cornell Policy Group, she is involved in Cornell Political Union, Cornell International Affairs Review, and Amnesty International USA.

Rachel is a senior majoring in Healthcare Policy in the Brooks School of Public Policy. She joined CPG in the fall of 2022. Her healthcare interests lie in public health, data analytics, and health equity.

Riya is a sophomore studying Policy Analysis and Management with a specific focus on health care policy.

Sahil is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Government while minoring in History and European Studies. He joined Roosevelt in the fall of 2021 as an analyst for the Economy Center. Outside of Roosevelt, Sahil is a member of the Cornell Mock Trial team and is involved in research on democracy, voting rights, and climate change.

Sahithi is a junior Policy Analysis and Management major minoring in Business and Information Science. Her policy interests currently lie in immigration and information policy. Outside of CPG she is a TA for two classes, Logistics Coordinator for Cornell Economic Review, an analyst in International Business Consulting, a member of an open-style dance team Assorted Aces, and a research assistant for a police union project!

Samara Schiffman is a sophomore in the College of Arts & Sciences, majoring in both Government and Jewish Studies. She joined the Cornell Policy Group in the Spring of 2023 as an analyst for the Center for Education, and is involved in the Cornell Political Union and the Cornell Lunatic.

Sanshray is a sophomore studying Biological Science. As an Education Center Analyst starting in Fall '24, he is deeply interested in the causal factors of and potential solutions to entrenched inequality in the US, specifically through continual improvement of public education. Outside of CPG, Sanshray takes part in scientific research with the goal of understanding fundamental mechanisms of disease in order to develop targeted therapeutics, and is part of Cornell South Asian Council and Undergraduate Research Board. After undergrad, he hopes to pursue a PhD in immunology/genetics while remaining involved with policy research and STEM education efforts.

Sean is a freshman, majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations and minoring in Information Science and Business. He joined CPG in the Spring of 2024 as an analyst for the Center for Foreign Policy. Outside of CPG, Sean is on the Cornell Debate Team and the Cornell Fencing Team.

I am a freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in history and interested in Mao China, defense policy, and international law. Outside of CPG, I enjoy editing for Ezra's Archives and word puzzles.

Sebastian Bellingham is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in History. He is currently an analyst in the Center for Foreign Policy.

Sejal Sekhar is currently a freshman majoring in Public Policy in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy with planned Business and Law & Society minors. She joined CPG in Fall 2023 and is interested in researching educational inequalities and creating policies that address them. Outside of CPG, Sejal is a brother of Cornell's Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law Fraternity, a member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, and a dancer on Cornell's All-Inclusive Competitive Bhangra Team.

Shruti Nagpal is a junior majoring in Global and Public Health Sciences and minoring in Business. She is interested in policy surrounding reproductive health care, nutrition, and biomedical device regulation. Shruti aspires to attend medical school and specialize in obstetrics and gynecology.

Simone is currently a junior majoring in communication with a focus on international relations and development. Her research interest includes a diverse range of subjects, from media studies and communication theories to global politics and development economics, providing a robust understanding of complex global issues and the role of communication in shaping public opinion and policy. Outside of CPG, Simone is also the Transfer Representative of the Cornell Student Assembly and is currently on a pre-law track.

Sophia Arnold is a sophomore at Cornell University studying Public Policy. Beyond Cornell Policy Group, she is involved in the Office of Student Government Relations, Model United Nations, and is a columnist for the Cornell Daily Sun.

Susan Hickey is a sophomore in the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University studying Human Development and minoring in Health Policy and Gerontology. She is passionate about community health, end-of-life care, and healthcare equity. She hopes to pursue an MHA in the future and in the meantime spends her time with friends, reading, and hiking.

Tanirika Choudhry is a freshman in the Jeb E. Brooks School majoring in Health Care Policy on a pre-medical track. She joined CPG in Fall 2024 as a Healthcare Center Analyst and is interested in researching healthcare quality, insurance accessibility, and women's health. Outside of CPG, Tanirika is a writer for Cornell's Healthcare Review and a dancer on Cornell's competitive Bhangra Team.

Thej is a current sophomore majoring in English with minors in Information Science, Law & Society, and South Asian Studies. He joined CPG in Spring 2024. He is passionate about technology and civil rights policy with a focus on surveillance, digital privacy, and emerging technology. Outside of CPG, he is the Co-President of the ACLU at Cornell University, a member of the South Asian Council's Advocacy Committee, and VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law Fraternity.

William is a freshman studying environmental engineering in CALS at Cornell University. He joined CPG in the Fall of 2023 as an analyst for the Center for Environmental and Technology Policy. Outside of CPG and climate change advocacy, William loves playing music, doing Tae Kwon Do, and bird-watching/ornithology research.

Zaki is a freshman in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. He joined the Cornell Policy Group in the fall of 2024. Writing for the Center on Foreign Policy, Zaki primarily writes about labor and economic issues. Outside of CPG, Zaki is a member of Cornell UHCA and is an avid runner.

Zoë O'Halloran is a sophomore in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy studying Health Care Policy on a pre-medical track. She joined CPG in Spring 2024 as Healthcare Policy Analyst, and became the Assistant Center Director for the Healthcare Policy Center in Fall 2024. Outside of CPG, Zoë is Treasurer of the Cornell Chapter of The Diabetes Link and of a member of a pre-professional chemistry fraternity.
